Over 45? One vegetable drink flushed persistent infection out of the uterus

  • by

After 45, many women become more attentive to changes in their reproductive and urinary health. Unusual vaginal discharge, unpleasant odor, pelvic discomfort, burning during urination, itching, or persistent irritation can sometimes indicate an infection that needs proper medical attention. Although social media posts often promote a vegetable drink as a quick way to “flush out” a uterine infection, no homemade drink has been proven to eliminate a uterine or vaginal infection within 24 hours.

A simple green vegetable drink can nevertheless be a nutritious addition to a healthy diet. One easy recipe uses cucumber, spinach, celery, and a small amount of lemon. To prepare it, wash one cucumber, a handful of fresh spinach, and one celery stalk thoroughly. Cut the cucumber and celery into smaller pieces, then place everything in a blender with about one cup of clean water. Add a small squeeze of fresh lemon juice and blend until smooth. The drink can be consumed immediately, preferably as part of a balanced breakfast or daytime meal.

This type of vegetable drink provides water and nutrients from fresh produce, but it should be considered a food rather than a treatment for infection. A uterine, vaginal, or urinary infection can have different causes, including bacterial, fungal, or sexually transmitted infections, and the appropriate treatment depends on the actual cause. Trying to treat a persistent infection only with a homemade drink can allow the underlying problem to continue or worsen.

Women experiencing persistent pelvic pain, fever, chills, unusual or foul-smelling discharge, bleeding that is not expected, pain during intercourse, or burning when urinating should arrange a medical evaluation. A healthcare professional can determine what is causing the symptoms and, when necessary, provide appropriate treatment.

Good everyday habits can also support general reproductive health. Eating vegetables and fruits regularly, drinking enough water throughout the day, getting adequate sleep, staying physically active, and avoiding unnecessary vaginal douching can all be part of a healthy routine. However, these habits should complement medical care rather than replace it when an infection is suspected.

The idea that one vegetable drink can completely clear a persistent uterine infection overnight may sound appealing, but there is no reliable evidence for such a rapid cure. A fresh green drink can be a refreshing way to increase vegetable intake, while persistent symptoms should be addressed with appropriate medical care.
